The Rock Cats return home for the final 4 games of the 2008 season, fresh off their finest extended pitching performances of the season.
For two nights running in Portland, three NB pitchers combined on three-hit shutouts and now have a season-best string of 20 consecutive scoreless innings.
By winning 3 of 5 in Portland, the Rock Cats delayed any playoff-clinching celebration by the Sea Dogs. Now they'll try to aid the Portland cause by sticking it to the Binghamton Mets Friday through Monday in New Britain.
The Rock Cats have won 12 of their last 16 games.
